London Penthouse – Specialist Marble Installation

A recent London penthouse project demonstrates how stone contracting can involve considerably more than simply fabricating and fitting the material.

Large bespoke marble pieces had been fabricated for the project, but their size meant that they could not be transported to the penthouse using the building’s lift.

A specialist lifting solution was therefore required. Stoneville used a block-and-chain-hoist-lifting method to raise the large marble pieces externally to penthouse level, where they could be brought into the property and installed.

The project demonstrates the importance of combining stone fabricator expertise with practical stone fixers experience, particularly when working with large and valuable pieces of natural stone in locations with challenging access.
